Randy Graves is married with three adult children, all of whom are married. Between his three children and their spouses the family has 11 Andrews University degrees! Randy's interests include landscaping, photography, nature and spending time with his family.
While Sonya Cruz was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, her family roots are diverse—her mom is from Cuba and her dad is from Honduras. You may catch her saying "y’all" as she lived nine years of her life in Texas and considers both Texas and Michigan home. She loves to make an adventure of anything she does whether it's crafts, going to the beach or trekking through the woods. Her favorite thing about Andrews is the diversity! She states, “I think it’s important for individuals to socialize with those from other cultures because once a student graduates from a university setting and goes into the workplace they will be working with individuals from many different backgrounds. So cultural awareness is important!”
If you are a public school student, be sure to get to know Ashleigh Burtnett. You may see her playing tennis, taking pictures, and trying out new yummy restaurants. She is an Andrews University alumna and likes to share great things about her alma mater, including that it's a Carnegie Classification Doctoral/Research University and a STEM Jobs Approved College! She enjoys the frisbee golf course on campus, Howard Center concerts, that we are just two hours from Chicago, and super close to the best freshwater beaches around on the shores of Lake Michigan!
Matthew Master loves that Andrews University has a little bit of something for everybody and enjoys seeing how there are so many ways for somebody to find their niche while discovering their unique potential. With that said, he is passionate about finding new ways to add value to those around him. For hobbies he enjoys music, travel, anything outdoors and writing.
Korissa Mattson is the one to talk to if you are interested in a health profession. Her interests include running, travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family. She loves being on campus when the first snow comes as it is time to make snowmen and snow angels. Proverbs 3:5–6 is her favorite Bible verse—a promise that is helpful when making decisions.
School of Business Administration Enrollment Coordinator
Interested in studying business? You should speak to Laura Malcolm, marketing and recruitment coordinator for the School of Business Administration. Some of her hobbies include traveling, reading, hiking and cooking. She has taken part in a number of triathlons, running and cycling events, and has cycled across Oklahoma and lower Michigan. Laura also likes snow sports including snowboarding, cross-country skiing and sledding. It's no wonder that one of her favorite Andrews' places is the 11+ miles of trails for running, hiking and mountain biking!
David Stratton can answer your questions about the science and math departments. His past experiences and degrees qualify him for this job because he has a BA in biological sciences with a concentration in ecology, an MA in health management systems, a Master of Divinity, and is currently in the process of earning dual master's degrees in medical physics and nanomedicine. He has a variety of hobbies that also reflect his interest in science from radiology to cooking, computer coding and gaming, and piano. He recommends that you visit his favorite place around Andrews: Tiscornia Park Beach.
Shelly is one of the first faces you will see when you come to visit Andrews University. She works with prospective students who come to visit our beautiful campus. Shelly loves to travel and see new places and also enjoys gardening and going to the beach. She is married with three daughters and two precious grandchildren. Her favorite thing about Andrews is the students and she looks forward to meeting future students and their families!
Cassie Heslop is here to serve you when you come to visit Andrews University. She works alongside Shelly to show you our beautiful campus. She enjoys being outdoors, running, camping, reading and swimming. Her favorite season at Andrews is the summer because it is so pretty and green!

Shanna Leak loves to cook, travel, take pictures, and relax with all different kinds of music and movies. Though she was born in Chicago, Shanna has spent most of her life in the Andrews community. She has been able to make many friends over the years who are now all over the world. No matter where she travels it seems she finds a friend from Andrews. She has raised her son here and can’t imagine anything different.

Johannes Chitura is the proud father of an intelligent son and husband of a pretty wife. His interests include FIFA ‘15, flying, soccer and spending time with his family. His favorite place on campus is the airpark. One aspect of working with admissions that he enjoys is seeing students accomplish their dreams and he loves reading the stories they share during the application process.
Want to earn an Andrews degree from the convenience of your home? Talk to Melody. She has a BA in education and psychology and an MA in clinical mental health counseling. Melody enjoys trying new foods, animals and learning about new cultures. One of the main things she loves about Andrews is its multicultural community!
Kaylene Chadwick is here for you if you are a transfer student, homeschool student, or high schooler taking university credit. She is married to Richard and they have two daughters and one dog. They recently expanded their home in order to share the love of Jesus to children as a foster family! Kaylene enjoys going to campmeeting, cross-stitching, camping and traveling. Her favorite place on campus is the J.N. Andrews sculpture and she always looks forward to the tulips that bloom in the spring. Kaylene enjoys helping students succeed with their educational goals.
Don Robinson works behind the scenes to make sure we are able to communicate with you. He enjoys singing and origami. His wife is an author and they have two terrific kids. He may surprise you by speaking Chinese, which he learned while a missionary in Taiwan.
