Hello, My name is Aimee. I am set to graduate in May and currently have a cumulative GPA of 3.93. I transferred in last year with a 4.0 from University of Notre Dame. During my credits at Andrews, I have only received one B making my Andrews GPA 3.88. Due to the fact that my cumulative GPA is 3.93, I thought I would be receiving Summa Cum Laude honors, but have been told I only qualify for Magna Cum Laude. I think that this may be an error because of research I have done in the academic policy handbook, documents from Andrews website, and the honor tab on the website. I have attached all of these below. The graduation distinctions should be based upon my entire college career not just my time at Andrews. I do not think it is fair that I will be graduating with a 3.93 but will not be considered Summa Cum Laude. I have worked very hard the past 4 years and do not feel as if I should be held back from receiving a recognition because I was a transfer student. I have attached the documentation that led me to believe I would be graduating with Summa Cum Laude. Nowhere, in these documentations does it say both the Andrews GPA needs to be a 3.93. It only says that to be considered for any of the distinctions there must be a minimum of 3.50. Please take this into consideration and thank you for your time. I wanted to get this sorted out as graduation is nearly approaching. Thank you, Aimee
