Below are the instructions for how to set up, and change, information for instructors in the Instructor Information block in Learning Hub. --- 1. Instructor Images: there is a blank.jpg image to use until you have an image for the instructor that meets specifications. Images need to be portrait and no smaller in height than 150px (preferably with a width of 100px). If the file is bigger, make sure it is portrait, and the image will be automatically sized to fit properly. Use either Microsoft Office 2010 to do the simple size/crop change, or photoshop if more needs done to the image (lighting, etc). 2. Please make sure to open either the blank.html file or the [teacher].html file in Notepad ++. The purpose, is that this will make sure that any changes that are made don't accidentally change the look each html file of this type has. 3. In the file, should be comments with instructions on what needs changed. Please change ONLY what is stated. This will minimize mistakes, and maintain consistancy across the courses. 4. When you are finished, if you were editing an existing teacher.html file, save the file, and reupload it. If you were making changes to the blank.html file, save it as flastname.html (f=first initial of instructor, lastname=obvious) and upload it to the server. 5. In the course, you will add an HTML block, and configure it. a. Make sure the title is: Instructor Information. b. In the text-editor, you will click on the HTML button (make sure the full list of options is visible if it is not already, or you will not be able to find the button). Paste the following code into the HTML text-editor that should have popped up inside the screen.
Change the .html file name to be the one you are needing (ex: adrew.html -> afenner.html) Click the update button to exit the source editor. The Content* text editor will be blank. That is ok. Just press Save changes.
