COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Studying the reading assignments, utilizing provided diskette
activities, and
attending classes should allow the student to:
vDevelop a large vocabulary of medical terms and
abbreviations.
vBe able to decode medical terms not specifically learned by
knowing the meaning of root words, suffixes, prefixes, and combining
forms.
vBecome familiar with the system of documentation of
patient information through the use of case histories and surgical schedules.
