8. Principle of Betke alkali denaturation test:
Red cell hemolysate is added to cyanmethemoglobin reagent and then exposed to alkaline reagent (sodium hydroxide). Non-Hb F is destroyed and remaining Hb F is measured.
9. Why add an incubation period to osmotic fragility test:
Makes the osmotic fragility test more sensitive .
