Time from collection to centrifugation:
Within 1 hour
Within 2 – 4 hours
Keep at room temperature
Time from collection to testing:
What if testing is delayed beyond 2 hours:
Freeze at -80oC
and store at -40oC or colder for up to 2 weeks
What if testing is delayed till next day or
longer:
Tested within 30 minutes or frozen
within 30 minutes.
What if test ordered is euglobulin lysis:
