1st look at what happened with normal plasma:
The aPTT was corrected
from 60 sec. to 40 sec. so this rules out an anticoagulant as the cause and points to a
factor deficiency.
Patient plasma + normal plasma = 40
sec.
Also since the PT was
normal and the aPTT abnormal the factor deficiency must be in the Intrinsic pathway.
