Upon completion of this unit the student will be able to:

1. List those factors that affect kinetic assays.

2. List the pathway and coagulation factors measured using the Prothrombin Time test (PT).

4. List the units used to report out the PT and what therapeutic protocol it is used to monitor.

3. List the pathway and coagulation factors measured using the Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time test (aPTT).

5. List the units used to report out the aPTT and what therapeutic protocol it is used to monitor.
