Based on Red
cell distribution width (RDW):
Heterozygous:
Homozygous:
RDW
= abnormal
RDW
= normal
Note: each of the morphologic
classifications
would have this attached based on RDW
ie: a Macrocytic/Normochromic anemia
with an abnormal
RDW would be heterozygous M/N
