(C’) activation with intravascular hemolysis via MAC.
C’ activation may stop
at C3b attaching to cell and macrophage removes cell via C3b receptor
resulting in extravascular hemolysis
C3b may be converted
to C3d which prevents phagocytes from destroying cell since they don’t
have receptors for C3d.
