Elevation in the number of immature white cells and red cells seen in malignancies
Leukoerythroblastosis:
Elevation in number of white blood cells in response to allergy, inflammatory disease, infection, etc.
No concurrent increase in immature red cells seen
Leukemoid Reaction:
The Leukocyte Alkaline Phosphatase Activity (LAPA) is increased
The Leukocyte Alkaline Phosphatase Activity (LAPA) is normal to decreased
Shift-to-Left:
Increased number of immature granulocytes (bands, metas, myelos)
