Unlabeled-Immunocytochemical Procedure
Principle:
Uses an enzyme plus an antibody specific for the enzyme
Both the enzyme-antibody complex and the primary antibody must be produced in the same animal.
Two methods:
Alkaline phosphatase – anti-alkaline phosphatase (APAAP)
Peroxidase-Antiperoxidase method (PAP)
If they are different the secondary antibody will not bind them together.
