Middle-aged (avg. 50 years)
Mid-to-late B-cells
Clinical features:
Splenomegaly in 80% of cases
Pancytopenia – classic feature
“Dry-tap” bone marrow aspirate
TRAP positive:
Tartrate resistant acid phosphatase positive
Cell phenotype:
SIg and CIg positive
PCA-1 antigen positive
7 year median survival
