Myelodysplastic Syndrome - 1
A
group of acquired clonal hematologic disorders characterized
by progressive cytopenias in peripheral blood
that reflect dyserythropoiesis, dysmyelopoiesis, and
dysmegakaryopoiesis due to defect in myeloid stem
cell.
Pathophysiology:
Since
lymphoid abnormalities have now been discovered it is thought that
the pluripotential stem cell may be the cell with defect.
