Principle:
Most methods are based on the optical scatter or fluorescence detected after treating
sample with either a nucleic acid stain or fluorescent dyes that stain residual RNA in immature red cells
Most instruments require mixing reagents with sample in a test tube then aspirating sample
into analyzer
