Each enzyme has optimum range
Lower the concentration the slower the rate of reaction
 Principle of coagulation studies:
The temperature is maintained at 37oC and the pH is maintained by use of buffers so that the only factors influencing product formation (clot) are the amount of substrate present (clotting factors) or the amount of inhibitors (heparin or coumadin) present.
