Goal is to have >75% VIII
activity
For active bleeding or anticipated bleeding:
12 hours so need 2 injections per
day
Factor VIII level kept above 1%
DDAVP given intranasal or
intramuscular
½ life of factor VIII:
Prophylactic:
Intravenous injections of VIII
concentrate
