Failure to achieve a rise in VIII activity following injection of VIII concentrate
Detection of inhibitors:
IgG4
Class of immunoglobulin:
1 mL of patient plasma mixed with 1 mL of normal plasma and aPTT repeated following 2 hour incubation.
Lab detection of inhibitor:
If aPTT is corrected – no inhibitor
If aPTT is uncorrected – Lupus anticoagulant
1 mL of patient plasma mixed with 1 mL of normal plasma and aPTT repeated immediately:
If aPTT is corrected – no inhibitor
If aPTT is uncorrected – inhibitor
