Quantitation of amount of inhibitor:
1 Bethesda unit is the amount of
inhibitor required to neutralize 0.5 U/mL of factor VIII in normal plasma
Low responders:
Types of responders:
Bethesda titers of 5 or
less and does not increase following factor VIII therapy
High responders:
Bethesda titers of >5
and increases following therapy with factor VIII
