Definitions
Thrombosis:
The
inappropriate formation of platelet or fibrin clots that
obstruct blood vessels and lead to ischemia and necrosis.
Thrombophilic:
The
predisposition to thrombosis secondary to a congenital or
acquired disorder.
Ischemia:
The
decreased supply of oxygen to a body organ or tissue usually
accompanied by pain and organ dysfunction
