Diagnose
and treat underlying cause
Chronic
D.I.C.:
Slow
hemorrhaging by stopping coagulation system
Then
administer the following:
Acute D.I.C.:
heparin
Antithrombin concentrate
Protein C
Replace
missing coagulation factors using:
FFP
Cryopreciptate – if only I and VIII needed
Platelets – if thrombocytopenia
