Choose artworks by four different artists from the list below. Then write the following information about each painting. Be sure and answer each question. What was the room like in which the painting was found? Describe the lighting, ceiling height, sounds etc. (5 pts.) What other artworks were on either side of the painting? (2 pts.) What sort of frame did the painting have? (2 pts.) How did the experience of seeing the painting in person vary from having the image projected in class? Was there anything that surprised you about the painting (scale, color, details, surface quality)? If yes, describe what surprised you. If no, explain why you think you were so well informed so as not to be surprised. (8 pts.) How did the environment the painting was in effect the way you responded to, or understood the painting? (4 pts.) Why did you choose this painting? (4 pts.)
