Nov. 9, 2006 Hey all! Just to let you all know I'm still alive (although between biochem and physiology, that's a surprise...) I'll update here shortly. L8tZ!

May 7, 2006 Congrats to all my buddies doing the graduation thing!!! Love y'all, and God bless, special best wishes to my animal sci gals! (not that you'll probably see this.) Well, school's out and I'm feeling thankful--that I got those last three papers in this past week or so, that the OChem tests were pretty manageable, and that the one test I think I did REALLY bad on at least I had an A-minus up till then so maybe my grade will still survive. Of all the tests and papers my Thinking Theologically paper was the most fun, it was about the Second Coming, I got to use some of the methods I learned in Dr. Stephanovic's wonderful Scripture class--like comparing commentaries and so forth. Pity I had to write it so fast that I never got to read it so I don't really "know what I wrote", that tends to happen a lot at the end of the semester. Whidden liked it so I guess I didn't say anything weird :P Regardless of the neg. hype around that class before I took it, it was one of the neater Honors classes I took (similarly to Scripture). I particularly enjoyed the fresh viewpoint as Whidden explained our SDA beliefs since we had several non-SDA's in the class and got to compare and contrast; it was really cool to watch the wheels turning in one of those kid's heads--it was making a lot of sense and he was coming to see how various SDA beliefs make more sense and are more scripturally based--it was like having a Bible study "required" as a class and thus a rather captive (but interested) audience...

Summer goals: century bike ride; learn to program in C++; learn to be a tech assistant; apply to msu and take the gre; make more friends; grow closer to Jesus.

March 1, 2006 El Estupido! (First I try to log into my ftp site, and it instead tosses me in the middle of nowhere in the root directory.
Then I try again and it blocks my port! (I'm using a library computer, go figure.)
Well, not a lot to mention in the last month--basically nothing new has happened. Still just plugging
along at everything, lots of tests and labs, etc. Oh yeah, I joined a triathalon club! (Haven't
been in any triathalons, but I want to.

Jan. 31, 2006 Welcome to 2006 in Cari's World. Looks like I skipped most of last semester, but that's OK 'cuz there wasn't a lot to tell anyway. Let's see if I can keep up with the blogging this year. Well, here's the latest rundown:
>I'm taking lots of classes:
-----OChem, Farm Animal Repro, Cell Molec, and two honors classes, Thinking Theologically and Justice
-----Three labs (Repro, OChem and Cell Molec) which keep me out till 11 or so on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
-----I'm secretary of the Ag Club which is not a terribly involved position (a good thing considering my schedule)
-----My favorite class is probably OChem (last semester it was Cosmos)
>I'm working at a vet clinic in a nearby city, twice a week and weekends:
-----I am first and foremost the official kennel tech
-----I am also the official switch-hitter, training as a receptionist and vet tech
-----We're getting a new veterinarian at the clinic this week, I meet him on Thursday!
>And of course I'm still pursuing an eventual career as a veterinarian.
>I'm in the process of building a road bike.
>My cousin is here at the University this year, which is a lot of fun (Whattup, dude!). Gives me one more person to hang out with on Saturday afternoons.
>My best friend left for Maine--I will miss her a lot until she comes back in the summer. Gives me one fewer person to hang out with at lunch on Tuesdays.
>I'm still running Linux on one side of my computer. Trying to get wireless working.
>Pistons beat the Lakers solidly on Sunday! Yeah!
>I turned 21 this year and had a very fun party with all my friends that night (no ethanol involved.)
That should basically catch everyone up.
