Dec 29, 2007 'Ello folks! Here's a note just in time for the end of the year, wishing you all a peaceful and blessed new year! I've been so busy this year that I really haven't been keeping up this blog. We'll see if I can do better next year.

I have had some major life changes, though. Since last March, I finished my Honors thesis, which was inconclusive but interesting, I graduated with a Batchelor's of Science in Animal Science, and last but not least, I moved out of the home of my youth, my parents' house... to embark on the new adventure of Veterinary College at MSU. I had a whirlwind first semester in which I'm not convinced that I perminantly learned anything, but I was certainly exposed to lots of exciting new concepts and experiences. After school got out, I went to GYC in Minneapolis, which was great. I learned a lot. It was also the furthest west I've ever been! Now I've been "home" (?) at my parent's place for Christmas break, and will be going "home" to my own place soon to prepare for the next semester. I'll try to keep up this blog a little better next year!

Mar 8, 2007 Here's a celebratory post to say that I got accepted at MSU!

Feb 3, 2007Well, I've got an interview lined up for MSU on the fifteenth. We'll see how it goes. I will probably have to do my Honors proposal that week, I will have to teach a Sabbath School lesson, and of course work, keep up in school and get research done, so I will be busy and perhaps a bit stressed over the next week and a half. I'm not doing this all on my own, though, so feel free to remind me if I seem overly uptight... God's grace is sufficient.
The comments are finally working. I only spent about 3 hours coding... ;) So my php is rusty, what little I have...
Lots of snow this past couple weeks! Here's a pic on the AU website:

Jan 22, 2007UPDATE: Got my first grad school rejection letter today. From Cornell, the school that I suppose I wanted to go to themost but which was probably least practical overall. It's tempting to be dissapointed about not getting accepted to my "dream school" but really I am glad that God is closing doors and making it clearer where He wants me next year, whether that be going to school in the fall or spring or just staying home. And I think maybe He's teaching me humility because deep down I really wanted to go to Cornell for the prestige... this needs to be about following God's plan and not doing my own thing.

Jan. 20, 2007It's finally time to introduce pictures on this site. Maybe people will actually read it if I do ;)

Let's inaugurate the photos with a pic of one of my favorite fellas... ;)

I'm thankful for Sabbath at the end of a long week of school, for singing (tomorrow in PMC--we're doing not only some very cool Brahms and Easter music but also some of my favorite Early Advent Hymns...) and that my 'bro' is here for the weekend.

Aug , CDT Hello, folks. Just seeing if this still works! Love everybody. Bye! Cari
