• We praise God for the visit of our prayer partners in this past month. It was a joy being able to spend a time of fellowship with Mrs Misao, Mr & Mrs David Jamir and Andrew Hartnett.
• Bereaved Family: Pray for the family of Dr and Mrs John and Mary Thomas. Mrs Thomas’ brother went to be with the Lord.
• Repair and Maintenance: Maintenance is a constant challenge at Carey. We trust that the Lord will meet all the needs in this front during the year 2002. We need to urgently attend to some road repairs
• Kids Church: We praise God that we have been able to start a kids church to cater to the needs of children below 12 during the morning servicees each Sunday. Kids church began on the 7th of july 2002.
• Molly Bowker Trust Fund: we are able to help 10 children from our fellowships ( Hindi, Bengali and English) with their school fees. This fund has beeen instituted in the memory of the late Mrs. Molly Bowker by her dear children.
  

Some of the challenges and plans of the months to come:

• Retreats and Camps: Pray for a few retreats and for the Camp that we have begun planning towards. We are planning to conduct regular Bible training programs for those that worship at Carey.
• Baptisms: We will be beginning baptism classes soon as there are a few that have expressed their desire to obey the lord in the waters of baptism. P”ray that the Lord will challenge those that have not yet taken the step of obedience to obey His word.
• Membership: A few individuals have expressed their desire to become full members at Carey. Pray that the Lord will lead us as we prepare them for a life of faithfulness to Jesus and His Church.
• Attention: We would be most grateful to you if you can send us your articles, or prayer requests by the 10th of each month. Pray also that the Lord will meet all the printing and postage needs of In Step through the year 2002
