It is obvious that JPEGs are better for photos. GIFs seem to lose detail as the file size gets smaller and the number of colors are reduced. The best suited file format for pictures is JPEG - high quality. The Quality isn't so bad and the file size is under 20K. The more colors in GIFs, the higher the file size will become.
