Help: for Reflection and Sharing Content

What to write:

What should you discuss in your reflection?  In general, you discuss what you’ve learned, what you’ve done especially well, what you’ve enjoyed – and the challenges you’ve encountered and how this curriculum might have helped you make changes in the future.

Here are some suggestions for what to write about:

1.  Your past experience with your spouse regarding this WebQuest topic.  Focusing on how you have grown as an individual and in your marriage over the years.

2.  Your experience in this particular course – your journey this curriculum has helped you start.  In this manner, you should focus on specific ways in which you have grown and developed with respect to this curriculum.

3.  Your experiences as part of a family mentoring team.  What have you learned with respect to teamwork, diversity, and the connection between learning in a small group?

a.  Perhaps you have learned important lessons about self discipline and time management as a family member.

b.  Maybe your involvement in activities with other team members – such as sharing and making meals together or valuable discussions or shared family activities – such as a combined family picnic, hike, bike ride, family worship, shared prayers or devotional time.

c.   Or perhaps you’ve found out that you haven’t connected very well with your family mentoring team.  As you reflect on this (or any other conclusions that others – or maybe even you – might consider, hurtful or depressing), rather think of this is an opportunity to think of ways to make some improvements in the future.

4.  A reflection, in other words, should include a self-assessment element as well as thinking along the lines of “What could I do better or differently in the future?”  Consider the challenges you’ve faced, how you’ve overcome them, or how you’d like to overcome them in the future.
