Stimulate   the   Desire   for   Being   With   Christ
                                        looking at 10 issues in having worship

                         

      INTRODUCTION:

        In 2006 I wrote on a 3x5 card my desire "to long for God."

        Psalm 84:1 reads:

      • "How lovely is Your tabernacle (I love to be in church);
        O Lord of Hosts!
        My soul longs, yes (my journey is there right now),
        even faints (not there yet) for the courts of the Lord."

        Many powerful devotions brought me there.
        I will share my journey to help you to "long for Him" also!

        What do you think if in one or two years, a persons would come to say
        to you: "Do you remember me? You showed me how to have worship.
        I have bin teaching others ever since.
        Thank you, Thank you so much for being so helpful."

      • The purpose of this GROW Group is to:
        1. Cultivate in us what worship is all about, and
        2. Promote, find a persons to start them having worship / devotions.

      • I would like to start out with three anchors which have given me:

        1. Strength = in facing live's issues: "I am the Lord your God." Ex 20:2

        "Where was my joy? If, in the midst of troubled circumstances, God's joy was
        absent, something was wrong! I knew that." When 95

        God was saying: "I am to delight myself in the Lord." Psalm 37:4
        I was responsible only to delight myself, and the only One I can and should
        delight in is the Lord." When 96

        In summary: If you deepen your understanding of the above Bible promise,
        "I am the Lord your God." God's joy will and cannot be absent!!!

        2. Direction & Help = in becoming like Him: "...being confident of this very thing,
        He who has begun a good work in you will complete it...." Phil 1:6 NKJV

        "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith...." Heb 12:2 NKJV

        "Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.
        Then you will know what God wants you to do...." Rom. 12:2 NLT

        "... for it is God who works in you to will and to act [ to do ]
        according to his good purpose.. Phil. 2:12-13 NIV

        3. Guidance = in serving with Him: "...for equipping of the saints
        for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
        til we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of God..."
        Eph 4:12 NKJV
