Prayer - A Bibliography


It is very difficult to suggest which of the following books you should read first. However in retrospect, I would like to suggest the first on the list be:
Steps to Christ. Click on the title: which is a full-text-online version. Then I
would read the others in the order as given. The call numbers are given for the
benefit of those, which have access to a college / university library.

Whatever it takes praying   (Joe Englekemier)  HART Research Center, 1993
      BV 210 .E53 1993   This is another good book to start with. This book is
      an introduction in learning how to pray.

Power in praise   (Merlin R. Carothers)   Logos Intl., 1972     BV 4501.2 .C32
      Power in praise fits right here. You will be amazed to find out which
      circumstances "qualify" to praise God in. This book will help you to become
      a more thankful person. "You really can't be without reading it."


A trip to the supernatural   (Roger J. Morneau)   Review, 1982
      BX 6158.9 .M67 A3     It was suggested to me to read this book first before
      reading others by Morneau. It shows the background and beginning of his
      intercessory prayer ministry.

Incredible answers to prayer   (Roger J. Morneau)   HART Research Center,
      1995   [2 videos]     BV 220 .I52 1995   This may be the only place to meet
      Mrs. Morneau!

      are covered topics like: "Strategies in Prayer Warfare", ch. 35/36; "How to
      Bind Satan", ch. 38/39; and "The Militant Use of Jesus Name", ch. 40.

      BV 215 .W332 1990       This invaluable material is for those who pray
      for YOU!!! If prayer is your ministry, viewing this video and listening to
      these tapes is a must! Very, very interesting. There is an avenue of power
      and strength we are not using.

Fasting for spiritual breakthrough; a guide to 9 biblical fasts
      (Elmer Towns)     Church Growth Inst., 1996   [1 video, book, lessons]
      BV5055 .T692 1996       This video will clarify some of the
      misconceptions about fasting. This material may be an eye opener.
