notable
german-americans
This Website has been created primarily as a resource site for German and Social Studies high school and college teachers interested in the field of German-American culture. However, looking at the wide range of coccupations and accomplishments of these notable German-Americans listed, even those interested in other areas and subjects of studies such as art and architecture, religion, psychology, etc. will find many names of German-Americans who, like all the other German-Americans, helped shape the culture and the course of the United States throughout its history.

This material is free and can be down-loaded or printed for private or classroom use. However, this material is copyrighted and cannot be used for any commercial purpose.

This site will be continuously corrected, updated, and improved. We do encourage individuals, students, and their teachers to participate by sending us names and information on German-Americans which should be included. Names from our updated list may be assigned for research to those who are interested and qualified in the field of German-American culture. We are also grateful for any other comments about this project, suggestions for corrections and improvements.
