In addition to his role as dean of the School of Graduate Studies, Gerald Furst has assumed the responsibilities of chair of the Andrews Academy Board. The appointment follows the resignation of Jim Jeffery, dean of the School of Education, in that role. As chair of the Andrews Academy Board, Furst will draw on his extensive experience in K-12 teaching and governance, having served as principal at Pacific Union College Elementary School and Maplewood Academy, and education superintendent for the Kansas-Nebraska Conference. One of Furst's chief immediate concerns in his role as chair is the search for a new Academy principal to fill the spot left vacant by the departure of Allan Chase.

In accordance to a decision voted on by the Andrews Board of Trustees on June 3, Emilio Garcia-Marenko has taken on, in addition to his obligations as registrar, the new responsibilities of associate provost. As such, he will chair several committees formerly chaired by the provost, Heather Knight, as well as attend in Knight's place on occasion. Also, he has become the administrative figure to which students may voice their complaints. In light of the new responsibilities, Garcia-Marenko has relinquished his former title of associate vice president for academic administration.
