The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new entrance to Andrews University via the new J.N. Andrews Boulevard from M-139 in Berrien Springs will take place on Monday, June 2. Ceremonies will take place at the entrance at 12:30 pm followed by a reception.
Andrews University President Niels-Erik Andreasen, Provost Heather Knight and local dignitaries, among others, will speak for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. International students in authentic dress will participate in a ceremony inaugurating a permanent photo opportunity area featuring a globe to represent Andrews University’s diverse international student population. The Andrews University bus, carrying many Andrews University officials, including members of the Board of Trustees, will be the first vehicle to drive on J.N. Andrews Boulevard. A historical time line of cars, dating back to the time period when Andrews was first established, will also be some of the first to drive on the newly paved road.
