Join the Gustav Relief Effort

At 6:30 p.m. today, Thursday, September 4, 2008, members of the Andrews University family will be departing for Hammond, Louisiana to aid in the clean-up and relief efforts following Hurricane Gustav. This mission trip is organized by the Center for Youth Evangelism.
  
Busses will load in the PMC parking lot at 6:30 p.m. and depart by 7 p.m. The group will return to campus by 6:30 a.m. Monday morning. The cost for the trip is $195 per person. A minimum of 27 volunteers must sign-up in order for the group to go, so please invite your friends.

Students need to get permission from parents/guardian, work supervisor, professors and dean.

The group will be aiding in supply distribution and clean-up as directed by Adventist Community Services. Volunteers should prepared to do whatever is needed. The group will be staying in a primitive lodging center that still lacks electricity. Sleeping bags and bug repellant is required. Visit Campus Ministries for additional ideas on what to bring.
