Wind Symphony Pops Concert

The Andrews University Wind Symphony, under the direction of Alan Mitchell, assistant professor of music, together with the Southwestern Michigan College Brass Band, will present their annual Pops Concert on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Howard Performing Arts Center in Berrien Springs, Mich.
  
The first half of the program features the SMC Brass Band, under the direction of Jonathan Korzun. The second half features the Wind Symphony performing Broadway One Step by King, Cirque du Soleil arranged by Kohl, Class Duke adapted by Murtha, Riders of the Flag by Sousa, Intermezzo “My Bonny Boy” from Folk Song Suite by V. Williams and Strathcarron: Sword Dance by Sparke.
  
The Jazz Ensemble will be performing Sweetlumps, and senior voice major Teresa Macdonald will sing Don’t Know Why and It’s Only a Paper Moon.
  
Tickets are available for purchase through the Howard Performing Arts Center box office. Ticket prices are $5 general admission, $3 for seniors and students with valid ID, and free for children 12 and under. Purchase tickets at the box office at 269-471-3560 or 888-467-6442. The box office is open Monday–Thursday, 1:30–5:30 p.m. and Friday, 1–3 p.m.
