PERL happens to be one of the most useful scripting languages I have ever used. It allows me to do things like write CGI scripts, automate complex DBA tasks, and just generally do neat stuff.
Here are links to some PERL things I´ve done:
Clonedb - a PERL package to automate Oracle (7.x) database cloning.
ALMOND - a PERL daemon that monitors Oracle archive log device space.
irebuild - a PERL script to automatically rebuild indexes in non SYS or SYSTEM schemas.
POSTNET.pm - a PERL module to print POSTNET barcodes on PCL 5 printers. This is useful if you need to print USPS POSTNET bar-codes on your mailing pieces.
Send me feedback if you have comments/suggestions on the PERL code I´ve written. |
