Courses: How to send a general email to your class

There are several options for sending a class-wide email in LearningHub:

  1. In every course, there is an Announcement activity that enables you to send a class-wide email. Click on Announcements and then "Add a new topic". After filling in the subject and body click "Post to forum" and it will be sent to all the students. It will also appear in the "Latest news" block if you have added that in the right column.
  2. You can use the Quickmail block. To add that block you will turn editing on and then scroll to the bottom of the right-hand portion of the course page where there is "Add a block". With this block, you have the option of sending a message to one person or the entire class, and sending the message as an email or a Moodle (LearningHub) message, which only appears in the student's LearningHub message center. There is also a delay send option.
