  • Certificate - creates PDF certificates/diplomas for students in a course. See Moodle "Certificate module"
  • Chat - allows course participants to have a real-time synchronous discussion. See Moodle "Chat activity"

  • Choice - allows a setup for the students to make selections. See Choice - QuickGuide

  • Elsevier Evolve Link - publisher: coordinates with textbooks

  • Journal - allows students to write on topics like a journal. See Journal - QuickGuide
  • Lesson - designed to be adaptive and to use a student's choices to create a self-directed lesson. See Moodle "Lesson activity"
  • LiveText - used primarily by the College of Education. Refer to advisor for instructions.
  • Pearson MyLab - publisher: coordinates with textbooks
  • Questionnaire- allows creating surveys for the students. See Questionnaire - QuickGuide
  • Quiz - allows for online quizzing and testing with set dates and times. See Quizzing - QuickGuide; Exams - QuickGuide
  • Read Aloud - allows students to read passages and get graded for their reading. See Read Aloud - QuickGuide
  • Reengagement - a tool teachers can use to remind students to complete activities. See Moodle "Reengagement activity"
  • SCORM package - technical item used when writing code and creating apps.
  • Scheduler - allows for setting up appointments with the students. See Scheduler - QuickGuide
  • Simple Certificate - allows a certificate to be created for completion of the course, a simpler format than "Certificate" as listed above.
  • Subcourse - allows for items to be taken in other courses and applied in one course, into the grade book.
  • Survey - prepopulated surveys (e.g. COLLES, ATTLS) that can be used for course feedback, not customizable. See Moodle "Survey activity"
  • Turnitin Assignment 2 - directly linked into Turnitin - use only when you want to submit papers for the students. Otherwise your the Turnitin embedded function in the assignment/dropbox tool. See Turnitin - QuickGuide
  • Wiki - allows the student to add and edit a collection of web pages. See Wiki - QuickGuide
