  1. Took the following courses which foster skills in planning and implementing change: "Administration of Higher Education;" "Theory of Administration;" "Secondary Administration;" and a Graduate Seminar on Change at the "Five Union Conference Teacher Convention in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
  2. Served as a member on the North American Division Social Studies Curriculum Committee which wrote a new curriculum guide for K-12 Seventh-day Adventist schools in North America.
  3. Recreated the Recruitment, Retention, and Public Relations Department at Andrews Academy to meet the current needs of the institution and its publics.
  4. Attended the "Five Union Teacher Convention: Change, Ready or Not" which focused on education in the twenty-first century.
  5. Attended the National Association of Secondary School Principals convention specifically to gain knowledge and training in school restructuring.
