Odd Solutions for Numbers Lesson 0

  1. Fill in the following table (3x3) with the digits 1-9 in such a way that each row and column totals 15. Bonus for the diagonals.

    A. Your answer may not be identical to this, but might be a rotation, reflection, or similar variation.

     2  9  4
     7  5  3
     6  1  8

  2.

  3. Classify the books in your home 6 different ways (example hard cover, western, text, etc.) and count or estimate how many (what percent) are in each class. Do they (the percentage) add up to how many books (100 %).

    A. I have 50% mathematical books, 10% sciences, 20% theological books, 5% biographical books, 10% cookbooks, and 10% foreign language/culture books. Some books maybe included in several categories thus causing higher percentages.
