About Me

My Name

My name is Bradly Scott Plunkett. It is a name my parents gave me before birth, and since it was given to me at such an early stage in my development, I pretty much had no choice in the matter. However, I cannot say that I dislike the name. I have grown rather fond of it throughout the course of my life. It has become sort of an identity for me, and so is something special.

My Age

Well, I am 21 years old, born on March 22 of 1984. That was a turning point in my life. I think at that point, I began the search for myself. However, it has been a very long search, has resulted in much frustration, and many times I have come close to giving up. I have chosen to carry on, though, and continue the search, knowing that in the end I will only grasp these things:

  • I will never truly know who I am
  • I will be closer to who I should be by searching
  • Life is an adventure
  • Coffee is one of the greatest gifts given to mankind

My Social Security Number and Mother's Maiden Name

Oops...I guess I'm not really supposed to give out that information. Sorry to disappoint you. I'm selfish and would rather keep my identity for myself.

My Home

Legally, I am a resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, but I really don't like it there. My parents live there, and I live with them. However, throughout most of the year, I live in Berrien Springs, Michigan, where I attend Andrews University.

My Studies

I am currently a senior attending Andrews University, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Graphic Imaging Technology with a focus on Web Development. I started off as a Computer Science major, but after a few years, found that the course I was headed down was not for me. So, now I have found a place where I enjoy what I do and have fun. I can also use my computer science background to my advantage.

My Hobbies

I like a lot of stuff. I primarily enjoy spending time with my friends here at school, and on occasion when I am across the country visiting old friends. Some of my interests include gaming, movies, anime, music, volleyball, reading, and exercising.

Games

I prefer the Fantasy RPG genre of games; in-depth games that take a lot of time, and have a story that takes you through twist after twist, leaving you wondering what happened. A great one with a great community of fellow gamers is Final Fantasy XI Online. I used to play that a lot, but haven't since I came back to school. It's still one of my favorites, though. I also enjoy the occasional real-time strategy game and first-person shooter, but only once in a while.

Movies

I like lots of movies. I have lots of movies. I wish I could get more, but they're expensive. Good movies are ones with suspense and a good story. Something with a freaky twist is always good.

Anime

I already have a page dedicated to this, so I won't go into detail. I will just say that I prefer anime to most any other form of visual entertainment.

Music

The list of bands I like would be too long to list here. As far as Christian music is concerned, DC Talk is by far my favorite, followed by Relient K, Bleach, Jars of Clay, and Newsboys. A few favorite secular bands are Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, and Cake. I will listen to mostly anything, but still have preferences.

Volleyball

My favorite sport is volleyball. I played on my high school varsity team and had lots of fun. I have also taken volleyball for PE credit in college, as well as joined intramurals. It was a lot of fun and I hope I can continue to play the game. I wonder if I just like to hit the ball really hard...it's a good stress reliever.

Reading

Ok, so I don't do a whole lot of it, but there are some books that I like. I like some fantasy novels. My favorite series would have to be the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I can't wait until his next book comes out. Others I have found interesting, though I haven't read much, were the Wheel of Time and Dragonlance series.

Exercising

I should do more of this. When I do, I enjoy it. I was running a bit earlier this year, but when winter hit, it got a little cold to do that. I need to start swimming in the meantime. I also try to get down and lift weights every once in a while, and need to do that more as well. I do a lot of walking around campus for a few hours a day during work, and that is good exercise, too, and I enjoy it. Exercise is good.
