Computing

Computers are part of our everyday lives and, as a result, Computing is one of the most versatile career fields today.

With a degree in computing you can almost work in any field you want. It's pretty simple, society depends on computers—so people who understand them will have jobs.

In particular, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics states that job prospects in this field will continue to see rapid employment growth through 2020. In fact, overall employment in areas of computing is projected to increase by 22%, which makes it faster than the average growth for all occupations in the U.S.

The Computing program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.

Our Bachelor of Science in Computing offers the tools you will need to be successful in achieving your career goals.

Two emphases are available in Computing: Computer Science focuses on a study of the computer itself as well as its role in an application area and Software Systems is an applied study of computing, focusing on the development and maintenance of software in an application area.

Through experiential learning, design and collaboration, you will be prepared to tackle any area within the field of computing. Learn more.
