Engineering

Engineers are involved at each step of creating, developing and establishing products and services that aid or improve the lives of others, and as a result, help to change the world. Depending on their area of specialty, engineers plan, invent, design, manufacture, test, sell or repair products or perform a combination of these activities.

Engineering is a field that will provide job security and good salaries. In fact, employment levels for engineers over the next decade are expected to grow exponentially. To top that off, starting salaries for engineers are among the highest for all college graduates.

The Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.

At Andrews University, students study either Electrical and Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Each of these two areas of engineering builds on a strong traditional mathematics, science and engineering core.

The electrical and computer emphasis focuses on digital systems, communication systems, computer-controlled instrumentation and computer simulation.

The mechanical engineering emphasis focuses on mechanical design and electromechanical elements of smart machines.

These two emphasis areas will give you the right skills and expertise to solve emerging problems in many fields of engineering. Learn more.
