I am a passionate professor who loves teaching, educational institutions, and above all, I love students and people in general! So I have a lot of fun whenever I am teaching and surrounded by students.
My educational career has been enriched by interacting with so many students and colleagues. I worked five years as a teacher and Principal of elementary and secondary schools, plus two years as Director of Education of Northeast Brazil Conference. I also have 16 years of experience in Higher Education in different areas such as being the Dean of the Graduate School at University of Santo Amaro, in Brazil, where I also coordinated a Master’s Program in Leadership Studies, teaching undergraduate courses at Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis, and teaching at Brazil Adventist University, where I also had the privilege of being the campus minister for five unforgettable years.
I completed my Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Indiana University at Bloomington, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Andrews University, and a B.A. in Communication from Andrews. I also have a B.A. and a M.A. in Religion from Latin-American Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary in Brazil.
As researcher and writer, I had the priveilege of editing and co-authoring the book Liderança: Uma Questão de Competência (Leadership: A Matter of Competency), editing Estudos em Liderança (Leadership Studies), one of the premier leadership journals in Brazil, and serving on the editorial board for both The International Journal of Servant Leadership and for The Journal of Applied Christian Leadership.
Now I enjoy working at the School of Education of Andrews University as Associate Professor of Leadership and Educational Administration
