some of you have wondered about the part of a "gift of light" that is found in our invitations.  well, let us try to explain:

we would find it very special if you brought a symbolic gift of light to our wedding as physical reminders of the sacred commitment sarah and i are making to each other and those we wish to bless in the future.

we gave three quick examples (candle, flashlight, lantern) of what those gifts of light might be.  we especially like the spiritual and romantic atmosphere that candles can help create, but don't be limited by our examples...  let your creativity flow as far as you would like.  our ultimate desire is to have simple reminders of the purpose for our marriage that we can incorporate in our future home and daily activities.
