Ms. Monica Desir - Curriculum-Related Trends in K-12 Adventist Education in NAD

Andrews International Center for Educational Research (AICER) is inviting students and faculty to attend a mock pre-defense entitled, “Curriculum-Related Trends in K-12 Adventist Education in the North American Division: An Inductive Analysis of the Profile Surveys—1987- 2007."
Presenter: Monica Desir, Curriculum and Instruction Graduate Student, Andrews University
Ms. Desir’s study is based on 20 years of curriculum research and examines trends related to curriculum guides, textbooks, technology, and other system-wide issues. Such issues include teacher perceptions of the Journey to Excellence (J2E) initiative—an overarching framework designed to guide the course of Adventist education, and to address prominent teacher concerns such as spirituality in schools, instruction-related concerns, and professional development.
