Journey Ministries to Perform at Alamodome for GC

| Posted on June 24, 2015

Journey Ministries, a 20-member a capella group from Andrews University, will be representing the University at the 2015 General Conference Session in San Antonio, Texas. They will be giving two performances: at 12 p.m. on Friday, July 10, at the Lila Cockrell Theatre in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and on Saturday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the San Antonio Alamodome.

“We are really excited that we have been accepted to sing at the 2015 General Conference Session. It’s a wonderful opportunity to share our ministry with the world church. Whenever we sing, people are touched by our music, so we look forward to reaching an international audience,” says Wanda Cantrell, manager and sponsor.

“I’ve always been dazzled by…the large gathering of people who share the same religious denomination,” says Givan Hinds, a Journey member. “I am excited not only to be performing before an audience of thousands alongside many amazing and accomplished international musicians, but also for an opportunity to witness the outcome of the intense decision making that will occur at this session.”

Journey is currently in the process of fundraising the $20,000 necessary to cover the costs of their trip. A generous donor has agreed to match any donations they receive, so they encourage supporters to give whatever they can in the remaining days before their departure. To donate, individuals can either click the “donate” button on Journey’s website, journeymi.com, or they can visit their GoFundMe page: www.gofundme.com/journeymi.
