Professor Given Lifetime Achievement Award

Harvey J. Burnett, Jr., professor of psychology and chair of the School of Social & Behavioral Sciences, was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce on April 25, 2024. State of Michigan Representative Brad Paquette and Senator Jonathan Lindsey presented a special tribute in recognition of his lifetime of dedication and service to the community. In addition to his work at Andrews, Burnett currently serves as trustee and president of the Buchanan Community School Board of Education and elder at the Buchanan Seventh-day Adventist Church. He engages in several community service activities, including teaching D.A.R.E. programming, working with law enforcement, and acting as clinical director for the Berrien County Critical Incident Stress Management team.
