You may not be issued one yet—as long as we have the last four digits of your Social Security number (SSN) we will be able to find your information.
Do I have to turn my work in with my study group?
No.
Do I have to have a study group?
No—we at Andrews University don't require you to have a study group.
What is the length of time it takes for evaluation after my coursework is received at AU?
We advertise that it can take 4-6 weeks before grades/transcripts are mailed out.
What if I can't meet my deadline?
We automatically give a 2-week grace period beyond the deadline—if you cannot meet this, then please call the office to arrange for an extension of your coursework.
Is there a free extension for people with medical reasons or family circumstances?
Yes—please apply for this by contacting us by phone, e-mail, mail, or fax. Please indicate how long you feel you need to complete the coursework. Normal Medical/Family circumstance extensions are for 3-6 months.

How do I enroll in a course?
You need to contact the partner that we work with that has the corresponding course you are interested in—they will enroll you and in turn send us your information and send you your course materials. Exceptions: With LEI (Learner's Edge, Inc.) courses, you must register using this Learner's Edge registration form; with Professional Development Institute courses, you must register using this Professional Development Institute registration form.
I find some places on the AU website that says transcripts are free, yet you advertise a fee for them. Why?
AU students that attend ON CAMPUS receive transcripts free. There is a fee of $10.00 for ODL students. Transcript request forms can be found under Forms.
What if I have a question regarding course content that isn't answered in my study guide?
Please contact the partner you are working with. They will be able to answer any questions you may have.
What if I have questions regarding course format?
If you can't find a clear answer in your information packet or course study guide, you can call the Andrews University Office of Distance Learning (see our contact information page) or the partner through which you enrolled for the course.
How many academic credits are the courses?
Most courses are 3 graduate level semester credits, with the exception of a some 2-credit courses offered by Virtual Education Software, Inc. (VESi) and some 1-credit courses offered by Learner's Edge. The number of credits is listed for each course on the partner's webpage and on our course list page.
What is the cost of the courses?
This varies from partner to partner—please visit the appropriate website to find course costs.
How can I request a transcript?
If you are turning in a course, include the transcript request form along with your coursework and we will process the request once your grade has been issued. If you had completed the course previously then you can find a transcript request form at Forms.
Will my grades be available online?
No—at this time we do not have this available.
What if I am missing some course materials?
Please contact the appropriate partner to let them know that you need replacements.
Can I get loan deferments using these courses?
Unfortunately these courses do not qualify for loan deferment.
Is there Financial Aid available?
No—because of the low prices of these courses we do not offer financial aid.
Do I need permission to enroll in more than 3 courses?
No—you shouldn't need that permission—you are allowed to enroll in up to 4 courses per registration period with each partner.
