Shani Johnson, is a licensed physical therapist with over 20 years of experience in the profession. She has been a private practice owner for thirteen years with a varied caseload.
Shani is a graduate of the University of Iowa Physical Therapy Program, earning her MPT. She completed her Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy from Andrews University in 2012. Currently, she owns and operates her private practice clinic with her husband, Mike. She is also on adjunct faculty with the College of St. Scholastica and has been lecturing in the United States for the past 2 years. Manual therapy is key with her practice and further education; she has taken NAIOMT coursework through level IV and is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist. She is also advanced trained in myofascial release techniques.
As an active member of the APTA and many private sections, as well as the Chair of the NW District in Wisconsin, Shani understands the importance of physical therapy as an integral role in the challenges that are ever-present in the health care system today. As a direct access practitioner, she usescritical thinking consistently with her patient evaluation and interventions. She has provided educational training in a variety of settings, and is enthusiastic about helping other physical therapists enhance their skills.
