Updated Fleet

"The Piper Archer has been, and continues to be, the perfect gateway to launching pilots' flying careers all over the world. With a 180 HP Lycoming engine and an advanced Garmin G1000 Avionics Suite, the Archer is a modern and reliable aircraft for both teaching and cross-country flying." www.piper.com

The Department now has possession of two 2014 Piper Archers. We are looking forward to the advanced training they can offer our flight students. As well as the marketing tool they will become by traveling from airport to airport. Come on by the airport to check N27AU and N28AU out.

N27AU and N28AU pose for a photo before heading out on training flights.

Enrollment

Student enrollment is up from previous years on both the maintenance and flight sides. We are looking forward to attending different recruting trips and events. Focusing on what next year will bring. (Below) Duane Habenicht teaches incoming freshman the Federal Aviation Regulations class.

Previous Events:

The Forever Faithful Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh Wisconsin was a great opportunity for the Aviation Department to make life long friendships with Thunderbird Adventist Academy as well as Adventist World Aviation. We all partnered together to get the Aviation Honor off the ground.

We were able to attend Adventist - Laymen's Services & Industries this year and it was great to get our name back out there in Adventist Aviation. The Department hopes that God will bless our efforts and hopefully the connections we made will last forever.

This was an amazing opportunity for the department to get our name back out there amongst the larger Universities like UND, ERAU, Liberty, FIT, and Western. Piper Aircraft Inc., was gracious enough to allow us to park our new Archer at their booth in the main aircraft display and we are planning on parking there again next year. EAA AirVenture was a huge success we were able to connect with over 50 potential students! We are already making plans to go back next year so that we can grow our student population, not only at the airport but on the main campus as well. Look out for information regarding an Alumni get together and thanks to all those who said hi!
